Lida Bain Pastor Our GREAT Sheppard
a WORD FROM THE PASTOR OF
TABERNACLE OF WORSHIP
LIDA BAIN
Hi! My name is Lida Bain. My husband Nick and I were married August 29, 1997. Nine months later the Tabernacle of Worship was birthed. It was not
what we had planned for our lives together; we were going to work, build a house, retire and travel together. But God had a different plan for our life.
The Tabernacle of Worship was birthed out of prayer. We were just ministering to a few wounded soldiers…soldiers of the cross.  After being asked
to become their pastor and hearing from the Father… I reluctantly agreed. We started out in a small one room garage with around twelve to fourteen
people. After about three months; weary, afraid and not sure of what I was doing; I was ready to throw in the towel; but that Sunday morning my
nephew Quentin [having run out of excuses] gave his life to Jesus. The next week he brought my only brother [who for forty-nine years had managed
to run from the Lord] and his mother to church and his girl-friend [now his wife] and all three of them accepted Jesus as their Savior. In the weeks
that proceeded my best friend of twenty some years and her daughter accepted Jesus and after that I could in no way forsake these new converts of
Jesus Christ.
By January of 1999, we had rented a small church [the garage now too small] and was there until 2003. By that time we had purchased a piece of
ground [paid in full] and rented a store front in Brandenburg as we began to build our church on Highway 79. By this time we were a congregation of
around forty people and God was blessing beyond what many would have imagined. On Easter Sunday of 2004 we had our first service and there
were 110 in attendance.
God has made us many precious promises concerning this ministry and we have seen them come to fruition. We have watched the deliverance of
drug addiction, alcohol addiction, cancer healed, aids healed, and even death made to give up its dead.  Ministered in the Detention Center and
seen God deliver. Some of these young men now worshipping with us at church.
We have discipleship classes on Wednesday night and children’s church. Monday night is our prayer night. God has abundantly blessed this
ministry, we run in attendance on Sunday morning in the nineties and sixties or better on Sunday evening.
This is just the beginning of what God has promised He is going to do!  We are excited and expecting that what God said He would do “HE WILL!”
So if you are looking for a loving, family church; who welcomes everyone irregardless of your past, a children oriented church …a place where the
Spirit is in residence…moving mightily….A ministry to place good seed into…then look no farther;
You have arrived!
The Tabernacle of Worship Welcomes You with open hearts and arms!  There’s healing in hugs and we have enough for everyone!  God bless you
and make His face to shine upon you.

In God’s Favor…Pastor Lida

Hey...just wanted to write and let you know how much you are missed at church and how I pray you will gain a new desire
for the things of God and growing closer to him. The prophets of old would get a urgent cry in their spirits for their people
and would attempt to send out a trumpet call! I want you to know this is your call and I'm concerned prayerfully for you!
Today is NOT the time to grow cold or fall away...but a time to draw near that He will draw near to us!
I hear a mandate from the Almighty "Draw near to me...Assemble together as you see the days are approaching."
Church remember His warning that the very elect could be deceived in these last days. How will that take place? Too far
away to hear the warning???
Read Jeremiah and listen to God's call to the nation of Israel...to return from their backslidden state and HE would return to
them. We need one another and we need to have a closer walk with God than we've ever had.
It is not difficult to find out we have DRIFTED AWAY from God. It is not hard to fall away...O, but hear the Word of the Lord!
Return to me and I will return to you!
